Causes and Solutions of Plastic Fan Failure

1. When starting for the first time, the motor will burn out. The design life of the plastic fan is generally more than 5 years, and there will be no failure during the normal warranty period. The burning of the motor coil must be caused by overload. The design working temperature of the high temperature fan is high temperature. During the first commissioning, the intake air temperature must be at room temperature. Compared with high temperature gas, normal temperature gas has high density and high proportion. Full load operation will inevitably lead to motor overload. The correct operation mode should first close the damper and start the fan. When the fan reaches the rated speed, gradually open the damper. When the intake air temperature rises to the rated temperature, all the dampers will open. The same is true for the use of frequency converters. At the beginning of start-up, the fan runs at a lower speed. With the gradual increase of the inlet temperature of the fan, the speed increases gradually. The rotation direction of the fan impeller is wrong. After the fan is connected to the pipeline, the rotation direction of the impeller cannot be seen, and the fan rotation direction of the motor can only be checked. If it is a variable frequency motor, it cannot be determined. At this time, if the fan does not operate according to the fan nameplate mark, the rotation direction of the impeller is opposite to the standard rotation direction, and the motor will exceed the burned coil.

2. The motor was burned during use. In addition to product quality problems, the cause of the fault is generally caused by the lack of phase of the motor. The cause of the phase failure is the loose wiring of the motor and the accidental short circuit of the electrical original of the electrical control cabinet. It is necessary to regularly check the wiring of the electrical control cabinet and the motor to avoid lightning problems.

3. Imbalance of impeller. Impeller misalignment can cause fan vibration and bearing damage. Due to vibration, the rotating shaft can bend severely. There are 3 reasons for impeller imbalance: excessive impeller attachments, impeller corrosion, and impeller damage. Corresponding solutions: cleaning the impeller, calibrating the balance again, anti-rust treatment of the impeller, wear-resistant treatment of the impeller.

4. The water-cooled transmission group fails. Generally, there is a lack of oil, cooling water is not supplied, and the taper pin pad of the coupling is damaged. As long as you pay more attention to these factors, you can find and correct them in time. The importance of understanding the causes and solutions of high-temperature fan failures is to find big hidden dangers through small workloads, which can prevent large losses such as shutdown.
